The side to the west of Lexington has a fantastic grassy median to run on.

God bless the East Side. My family on my Mothers side came to America in 1846 from Sweden, my father's side came in 1878 from Sweden. My Dad's father , Dr. O.F. Johnson was a physician on St. Paul's Payne Avenue. He spent his life taking care of people who could not pay for his services. He was a man of God, humanity and service to the poor. I look forward to meeting him in Heaven.

This town is interesting that once American soldiers and citizens lived there in close proximity

My Dad started at Pigley Wigley (sp?) when he was 15 back in the 50's I believe. After 40 years with Country Club, he retired when he was 60. He managed many stores during his time. When we were kids he would let us mop the floors on our roller skates while he did his work. I think that was at the Hilltop store. He also bowled with a lot of people from the store. I have a small replica of a grocery cart and we are putting Country Club on the front, but I can't find the logo. If anyone has the logo I would appreciate an image. He passed away in 2012, and many friends from his Country Club days came to celebrate his life with us. Country Club not only was a part of my dad's life, but ours as well.

This is not a Christian Church despite their name. They do not recognize the divinity of Christ and they do not celebrate Easter or Christmas.

It isn't quite a pile of nothing. In fact it is still a k-12 school serving almost 1300 students, having just completed a multi-million-dollar expansion.

I believe it was a fitness club first. Then a movie studio. Lastly a school. Now a pile of nothing.

I worked here for 2.5+ yrs - one of the greatest, most fun jobs I ever had! I was there from July, 1988 - May, 1991. People used to wait up to 90 mins for a table. I stopped there several times after I left, and YES, the service and excitement of the place was headed downhill. I feel very fortunate to have had such a great job which led me into several other "careers". Lots of Fun!!

The West Side ROCKS! Often confused with West St. Paul (which starts south of Annapolis), this is actually a neighborhood of St. Paul proper. I have lived here for two years and the food is great/parks are beautiful. South St. Paul (very close) has a nice dogpark, too.
